Your Comfort Is Our Priority – Reliable Heating & Cooling Services You Can Trust!
What you get from RR Electric, Heating & Air:
providing our neighbors with top notch electrical, heating, cooling & plumbing services is our passion
A few things you can do to keep your water heater running for as long as possible include flushing your water heater tank once a year, checking and replacing the anode rod as needed, and of course, yearly water heater maintenance performed by professional plumbers at RR Electric, Heating & Air.
Proper maintenance for your water heater includes; draining water from the tank every three months, ensuring the drain valves are sealed and the anode rods remain free of corrosion, and inspecting the water heater burner.
With the proper maintenance, the lifespan of a standard water heater should be around 10 to 15 years. It’s important to mention, without the proper maintenance, it is highly likely that the lifespan of your hot water heater will be significantly shorter.
When you entrust the certified plumbing professionals at RR Electric, Heating & Air for your annual water heater tune-up, you can expect the following:
Your RR Electric, Heating & Air plumber will complete an overall inspection of your water heater to ensure there is no rust, corrosion, or imminent issues.
Tanked water heaters store water inside of them for fast access and on-demand usage. Because of this, sediment from minerals in the Ventura County water supply can build up around the bottom of the tank. If you neglect to have your water heater tuned-up by professionals every year, this sediment can build up to the point where your water heater will not be able to provide hot water for very long periods of time – or at all for that matter! This is why it is instrumental that you have routine maintenance performed by our trained professionals.
All water heater tanks have an anode rod which dissolves over time while protecting your water heater from rust and corrosion. During your water heater tune-up, we will inspect the anode rod to evaluate if it is in check or if it is in need of replacement. Without a properly functioning anode rod, your water heater will rust, corrode, and eventually fail prematurely.
